Mission Statement
The Mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Anthony of Padua Conference, is to encourage the spiritual growth of its members, volunteers, the people they serve, and benefactors; to encourage fellowship while serving those in need; and to provide an opportunity for others to serve those in need.
Inspired by Gospel values, the Society offers person to person service to the needy and suffering regardless of race, origin, religion, or gender
1. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international Catholic organization of lay persons founded in 1833 by Frederick Ozanam and his companions. Placed under the patronage of St. Vincent de Paul, the Society derives its inspiration from his thinking and work. It seeks to help those who are suffering by person-to-person involvement of its members in a spirit of justice and charity.
2. Faithful to the spirit of its founders, the Society constantly strives to renew and adapt itself to the changing conditions of the world.
3. Catholic in character, the Society is open to all who wish to live their faith by loving and serving their neighbor.
4. No work of charity is foreign to the Society.
